Victoria White’s monochromatic portrait series pays homage to legendary thinkers, artists, and athletes, exploring the philosophies that led to their greatness. Through her striking use of color, ranging from subdued to bold, and her intimate compositions, White invites viewers to consider these iconic figures from a fresh perspective.
Incorporating carefully chosen words, either painted or in neon lights, White’s portraits evoke the essence of each subject’s philosophy, touching on themes of love, strength, and the human spirit. Her distinctive approach to portraiture extends beyond the canvas, as seen in her unconventional works featuring grand pianos and surfboards.
White’s curated, immersive experience aims to inspire joy, nostalgia, and a deeper appreciation for the intellect, creativity, beauty, and character of the legends who have shaped our world.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday—Sunday, 12pm—6pm, and by appointment.
